About the project
Chartwell’s Carlton Gardens is a care residence located within Burnaby’s corridor to downtown Vancouver. Phase 2 of this development features a six-storey retirement residence and extensive indoor and outdoor amenities.
Teaming up with Binnie Civil Engineering, we assessed the scope of work to ensure minimal interruption to the project schedule and surrounding traffic. As a result, elements of this project needed to be performed at night to ensure on-time delivery.
Project Highlights
- Collaborated with Binnie to prepare foundation excavation, backfilling and slab prep.
- Provided bulk excavation, including clearing and grubbing.
- Performed shotcrete-sprayed concrete to increase the bond strength and accommodate the timeline.
- Provided on-site and off-site services for storm, sanitary and water tie-in.
- Trenched mechanical and electrical requirements, including perimeter drainage.
- Facilitated off-site hydro and networking site integration.
- On-site and off-site roadworks, including the installation of street lighting.
