OUR COVID RESPONSE

METRIC CIVIL’S RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The health and safety of our employees has always been of primary importance at Metric Civil—we fully believe that nothing we do is so important that it cannot be done safely. This resonates now more than ever. Thus, in light of the pandemic, we have enhanced our already stringent health and safety practices to also include a COVID-19 response plan with increased on-sight sanitation.

To help combat the spread and keep ourselves and our community safe, we have established an “if you put it down, wipe it down” practice. This plan includes the of cleaning all reusable tools, limiting the number of operators on shared equipment, enforced social-distancing directives for our employees both on and off-site, closing our sites and office to visitors and, stepping up our general housekeeping practices. As well, we now have additional hand sanitizer and new hot-water hand-washing stations on-site. We have educated our employees through circulated infographics, toolbox talks, on-site safety meetings, and company emails. Understanding and awareness are crucial parts of our response plan. We have implemented a formal policy for all Metric’s employees and have introduced changes to basic on-site practices to ensure proper hygiene practices are maintained.

Metric recognizes the social responsibility we have to both keep our employees and their families healthy and safe. We are committed to doing our part to help flatten the curve.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and strictly follow the directives and recommendations from health authorities.
